1. The ILMF conference organizers are launching a new event – ELMF10 this fall in Europe.
2. It will be located in the Hague, Netherlands November 30 and December 1, 2010.
3. The conference will include airborne, bathymetric, mobile and terrestrial.

1. The USGS has developed a “content complete” version of the Base LiDAR Specification.
2. This is to be considered the minimum requirements to be included in the national LiDAR dataset.
3. The data must be fully LAS compliant.

This ILMF10 session included an excellent presentation by Lewis Graham from GeoCue on the basics of mobile mapping. Lewis is one of the true veterans in the LiDAR business, with probably as much hands on experience in working with the data than anyone.

2. The first is on the changing need for breaklines when using LiDAR.
3. The second concerns using Adobe Reader to view 3D models.

1. The international LiDAR mapping community is heading to Denver for LiDAR10.
2. There will be nearly 60 exhibitors – a significant increase over last year.
3. The major tracks will include data acquisition, bathymetric LiDAR, data fusion and mobile.

The International Lidar Mapping Forum – ILMF has put together what appears to be a very interesting program that includes a pre-conference ASPRS “Hot Topics” session, a keynote from the USGS’ H. Karl Heidermann, a full day of sessions and then the “Basics to LiDAR Workshop Series”.
