- My sincere apologies for the issues with the site last week.
- INTERGEO, the world’s largest “geo – everything” show is next week in Germany.
- I am hoping that some of you who are attending will share your insights with LiDAR News.
First of all my sincere apologies for the site being down most of last week. Plans are in place to make a change in my hosting service – you don’t want to know the details, and cannot imagine the frustration.
I had intended to make note of INTERGEO last week, as this is really not much notice, but what is billed as “the the world’s largest event and communication platform for geodesy, geoinformation and land management” is going to take place in Karlsruhe, Germany September 22 – 24. The expectation is 15,000 attendees with 450 exhibitors. This is a monster international event.
From the tag line it is not entirely clear how 3D imaging will be represented, but all of the key hardware and software players will be there. I have never attended, and had hoped to this year, but it’s not in the cards. My hope is that I can enlist some of you that are attending to send in a brief report via the comments section. Perhaps you could let us know about the latest and greatest in technology, as well as how 3D imaging is being treated. Is it just one of the enabling technologies or is there a higher level of interest?
I look forward to your comments, and thanks in advance for taking the time.
