The new Autodesk® ReCap 360™ portfolio is enabling The Future of Making Things by allowing designers, engineers, and builders to integrate reality capture data into their design and building process. Utilizing laser scans or photographs, ReCap 360 jumpstarts designs by transforming the real world into as-built 3D data that can be used with other Autodesk products such as Revit, AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Infraworks 360, Navisworks, 3ds Max or Inventor.

At SPAR, Autodesk will launch ReCap 360 and ReCap 360 Pro. The new portfolio will feature optimized scan registration data services such as Scan-to-Mesh and Fly for processing UAV photos at an unbelievable new price.

The optimized scan-to-scan registration of the ReCap 360 Pro desktop app fluently ties scans together for editing or integration. The Scan-to-Mesh service allows ReCap 360 Pro desktop users to isolate objects in your project’s point cloud, and use cloud computing to create photo-textured 3D meshes. With the Fly web service, users can turn UAV capture projects into orthographic views, 3D point clouds, or photo-textured 3D meshes.

In addition to exhibiting at SPAR, Autodesk’s Marc Zinck will present, “Combining UAV Photogrammetry and Terrestrial Laser Scanning: Use Cases, Workflows, Challenges and Outcomes” as part of the “Advanced Technologies for 3D Pros” track on Tuesday April 12 from 3:30-3:50pm in Montgomery AB. On Monday April 11, Dominique Pouliquen will present the new ReCap 360 portfolio during the Product Preview Track 2 from 3:40-4:00pm (Waterway 6).

The ReCap booth will also highlight the Autodesk Forge initiative, which provides third party developers with a set of Web APIs to build cloud-based solutions that tie directly to the ReCap Photo Web API.
