SPAR 2010 – Success is Measured

Spar 2010 is going to be held in the The Woodlands (Houston), TX February 8 – 10, 2010.
Last year’s highly successful “bootcamps” will be expanded this year.
With the early signs of recovery starting to appear, the timing of this event could not be better for kicking off a successful 2010.

Scanning Mt. Rushmore

1. Historic Scotland, CyArk and the US National Park Service are involved with the scanning of Mt. Rushmore.
2. Some have questioned the politics of this association – yesterday CyArk responded informally.
3. I support digital preservation, but I don’t think it can replace conservation and restoration.
