Excellent post - good questions you ask!

I agree with your idea that those who find those streamlined workflows will have an advantage. 

Are we close to the point where you say, &quot; I am looking at the Eiffel Tower&quot; and then some software just goes out to the web, finds every and all pictures of the Eiffel Tower and sticks them on the mesh or point cloud?  I think so. 

The word &#039;re-useable point clouds&#039; comes to mind and I can&#039;t help but think that more imaging in industrial environments is a necessary step to greater competitiveness.
