Chris Parrish from NOAA and UNH provided the heads up on the upcoming 15th Annual JALBTCX Airborne Coastal Mapping and Charting Workshop that will be held in Mobile, AL June 10 – 12. He commented, “This is an outstanding workshop for coastal/bathymetric lidar.”
Topics will include airborne coastal mapping and charting, sensor development, algorithm development, data fusion, topo and bathy lidar, digital and spectral imagery, integrated data processing, derived information products, and coastal applications for these data. They will also host a National Coastal Mapping Strategy Session for the Interagency Working Group on Ocean and Coastal Mapping during this year’s workshop. We will use webmeeting for as much of the agenda as possible for those who cannot attend in person.
