New solution converts 360 video walkthroughs into 3D data to accelerate field-to-cloud visualization and decision-making

Launching today,Cintoo’s 360 Edition enables users to capture, process and navigate Ricoh 360 data as part of their 3D workflows for the first time.

The new solution integrates 360-degree videos with 3D scans and BIM or CAD models in a single, synchronized 3D environment, eliminating reliance on split-screen or disconnected viewing experiences.

Designed to streamline workflows, Cintoo’s 360 Edition includes unlimited, automatic camera path processing, 3D manual alignment to existing scan and/or model datasets, 3D visualization of panoramic images and 3D data using Gaussian Splats, and access to established tools for 3D annotations, 3D crops and 3D measurements.

The 360 Edition facilitates an automated field-to-cloud pipeline, eliminating manual processing and reducing time to visualization and decision-making. Assessing a brownfield situation, inspecting a job site, getting the spatial context for your tagged equipment, or preparing for your next laser scanning work now becomes easily accessible to non-experts. This makes it particularly well suited to asset owners and operators managing complex, multi-site projects who require rapid access to up-to-date spatial information, and who need to complement or supplement their usual laser scanning workflows by a cheaper, faster and more versatile reality capture modality.

“The 360 Edition bridges the simplicity of using lightweight 360 cameras with the precision of a full 3D workflow,” said Dominique Pouliquen, CEO of Cintoo. “By bringing Ricoh 360 data, scan data and design models together in one integrated 3D environment, we’re enabling broader teams to adopt advanced 3D workflows without added complexity.”

“We are pleased to collaborate with Cintoo to deliver “360 Edition”, explained Akio Inaba, President of RICOH Futures EMEA and Head of Smart Vision Business Center at RICOH. “By continuously converting real-world site data into accurate, actionable digital assets, this solution goes beyond visualization to support operational decision-making, workflow optimization, and long-term knowledge accumulation.

“For Ricoh, “360 Edition” represents a strategic initiative to embed 360 data into customers’ core operational workflows and accelerate digital transformation across construction, manufacturing, and infrastructure industries.”
