Emesent Opens US Office to Provide Local Presence for its Autonomous Drone Technology

World-leading drone autonomy company, Emesent, is increasing availability and support to the American market with a regional office in Denver, Colorado. The office, which opened in February, will service the growing demand in the region for Emesent’s flagship product, Hovermap, an autonomy and mapping payload.

Since its launch in 2018, Hovermap has gained a solid reputation for enabling the mapping and exploration of challenging and inaccessible areas. With thousands of hours of autonomous flight logged by customers, it is the most proven LiDAR mapping and autonomy solution for GPS-denied environments, such as underground areas, between highrises, or underneath bridges.

“We’re excited to announce this expansion into the northern hemisphere to assist our customers in the region in their quest to safely and efficiently map the most challenging and inaccessible areas,” said Emesent’s CEO and Cofounder, Dr Stefan Hrabar.

Hovermap is already used by various customers in the region, including NASA, within their BRAILLE project. It was also part of the technology used by the team that placed a close second in the US Defense Advanced Research Project Agency (DARPA) SubTerranean Challenge.

An official presence in the region will allow Emesent to provide better access and support for its customers and partners. With an established network of partners across the Americas, Emesent plans on significantly increasing the number of partners in the coming months.

“Our Denver office will allow us to work more closely with our existing North, Central, and South American partners and build new partnerships to better serve the region,” said Dr Hrabar.

Earlier this year, Emesent announced a partnership with Robotic Skies, which enables its North American customers to have their products serviced and repaired locally. The opening of a regional office will provide additional local support with a growing Customer Success team and will be used as a base for further expanding the team in the Americas.

Shawn Roberts, Emesent Sales Director for the Americas, is excited to be growing the awareness of this world-leading technology in the region.

“Hovermap is already widely used across the entire Americas, capturing everything from dam spillways or road tunnels to problematic mine stopes. We’re looking forward to helping many more customers secure the safety of their personnel and drive greater efficiencies in their operations.”
