TRB 2019 – The Center of the Transportation Universe
The Transportation Research Board (TRB) 98th Annual Meeting – TRB 2019 will be held January 13–17, 2019, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, in Washington, D.C. The information-packed program is expected to attract more than 13,000 transportation professionals from around the world. Autonomous vehicles and lidar are certain to be a major topic of discussion.
The meeting program will cover all transportation modes, with more than 5,000 presentations in nearly 800 sessions and workshops, addressing topics of interest to policy makers, administrators, practitioners, researchers, and representatives of government, industry, and academic institutions.
A number of sessions and workshops will focus on the spotlight theme for the 2019 meeting: Transportation for a Smart, Sustainable, and Equitable Future.
More than 250 exhibitors will be present to demonstrate the latest in transportation innovation and technology. A number of the mobile lidar vendors, mapping and software companies will be on hand along with the UAV/UAS vendors.
Professional Development Hours (PDHs) may be claimed for attending the TRB Annual Meeting. Each hour of participation earns one PDH. Attendees must maintain their own records of attendance and can do so using this form. At the request of a licensing or a certifying agency, TRB will confirm an individual’s meeting registration; however, TRB is not able to confirm attendance at specific sessions.
TRB’s second annual Careers in Motion Networking Fair takes place on January 13, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, during the TRB 2019 Annual Meeting. The event provides an opportunity for prospective employers from a wide range of sectors and modes to meet with transportation professionals interested in working for their organizations.
