Knightscope Selects Velodyne Lidar Technology for Next-Generation Autonomous Security Solutions

Knightscope, Inc., a developer of advanced physical security technologies utilizing fully autonomous robots focused on enhancing U.S. security operations, and Velodyne Lidar, Inc., (NASDAQ: VLDR, VLDRW), jointly announced today that Knightscope has selected Velodyne Lidar’s technology to power its future 5 th Generation Autonomous Security Robots (ASRs).

Knightscope’s solution is powered by Velodyne’s Puck lidar sensor, which provides reliability, energy efficiency and a full 360-degree environmental view to deliver highly accurate real-time 3D data. The versatile, compact Puck sensor is an ideal solution to enable safe navigation in a wide variety of environmental and lighting conditions.
