SOPHIA ANTIPOLIS, MIAMI – October 17, 2024: Cintoo today announced the launch of the Cintoo Metaverse, enabling organizations to turn reality capture projects into an immersive environment for instant insights into their facilities, assets and operations.

From complex industrial plants to detailed construction sites, project managers, engineers and installers can navigate their 3D scan data and models at a true-to-life 1:1 scale, enhancing collaboration and decision-making.

Powered by Unreal Engine, the Cintoo VR Experience app is one of two initial apps to be unveiled in the new Cintoo Metaverse portfolio.

“The Cintoo VR Experience app empowers companies to immerse themselves in their Cintoo projects and experience them in a whole new way,” said Dominique Pouliquen, CEO of Cintoo.

“This is not just about visualization; it’s about driving actionable insights, reducing costs, and improving operations. Whether a construction, oil and gas or manufacturing company, the industrial metaverse enables you to harness your data in real-time, creating smarter, more efficient workflows.”

The Cintoo VR Experience app in beta and the 3D Layout Experience app, developed with Cintoo’s partner, Theorem Solutions, are available now.

The four stages of 3D Gaussian Splatting reconstruction, visualised as a single progression. A sparse point cloud provides the initial spatial skeleton (left); large overlapping Gaussian primitives are seeded from those points and begin to occupy volume (second); the optimiser densifies and refines those primitives, packing them tighter as the form converges (third); finally, alpha-compositing from the correct viewpoint produces a photorealistic render with no visible primitives remaining (right). The primitives never disappear, they simply become coherent. This is not a surface mesh, not a voxel grid, not a neural network at render time. It is millions of learned ellipsoids, each carrying position, shape, rotation, colour and opacity, composited in depth order at real-time frame rates. Image: Mike Devers / Cr8ive Media
