The achievement highlights a major collaborative effort between NV5 and the Commonwealth of Kentucky, whose leadership supported the development of the nation’s first statewide 3-inch ortho and oblique imagery program. The initiative reflects a shared commitment to expanding access to high-quality geospatial data across the state.

From NV5: “We extend a sincere thank‑you to our outstanding vendor partners — Vexcel, Keystone, Kucera, Sanborn, and Aerial Surveys International — whose expertise, capacity, and teamwork were essential to delivering this project at scale.”

With more than four million images captured and the launch of the KyFromAbove Explorer Web Application, the KY From Above program demonstrates the impact of coordinated public-private collaboration.
