Bentley Systems Discuss Digital Twins ..

Bentley Systems Executives and Users to Discuss Digital Twins at Geo Week, February 13-15

Digital Twins Enable More Efficient and Effective Decision-making throughout Design, Construction, and Operations

What:

At Geo Week 2023, Bentley Systems colleagues will discuss the benefits of using iTwin Capture, the application for capturing, analyzing, and sharing reality data. iTwin Capture enables users to easily create engineering-ready, high-resolution 3D models of infrastructure assets using drone-captured video and survey imagery from any digital camera, scanner, or mobile mapping device.

Visit Bentley’s booth to learn about the new capabilities of the iTwin Platform, which significantly extend the scope and interoperability of infrastructure data. Engineering firms and owner-operators can use the iTwin Platform to create and leverage digital twins in design, construction, and operations workflows across the built environment. New capabilities of the iTwin Platform include:

·         iTwin Experience, a new cloud product that empowers owner-operators and their constituents with insights into critical infrastructure by visualizing and navigating digital twins.

·         iTwin Capture, for capturing, analyzing, and sharing reality data. It enables users to easily create engineering-ready, high-resolution 3D models of infrastructure assets from drone and survey images.

·         iTwin IoT, which acquires and analyzes sensor data, enabling users to seamlessly incorporate Internet of Things (IoT) data created by sensors and condition monitoring devices.

Who:

Bentley experts will be available for interviews during the conference. Peter Bonne, senior director, 3D mapping and mobility, can discuss digital twins, reality modeling, and iTwin Capture. Mohan Panda, director of product engineering for mobility, can discuss digital twins, reality modeling, and iTwin Experience.

Claire Rutkowski, Bentley’s SVP and CIO champion, will also be available during the conference. She serves as both an advocate and strategist in developing communications that accurately reflect Bentley’s fit into the engineering space while strengthening the company’s profile with engineering organizations. Rutkowski’s expertise includes market drivers, gaining efficiencies, handling the talent gap, diversity, digital maturity, digital strategy, and finding new revenue streams. She will join panelists from the National Institute of Building Sciences, Dodge Data and Analytics, Hensel Phelps, Foth, and Skanska USA Building during the event keynote Monday, February 13, at 12:00 p.m. to discuss a key question: How Ready is the AEC Industry for Digitalization? Rutkowski can discuss market drivers, user successes, and product capabilities. To schedule an interview with Rutkowski or other Bentley executives, please contact Christine Byrne, Bentley Systems’ director of media relations, at christine.byrne@bentley.com.

In addition, Bentley colleagues will be participating in the following sessions at the conference:

·         From BIM to Digital Twins – Curating and Managing Data – Wednesday, February 15 at 2:00 p.m., Kyle Reeder, a solutions engineer at Bentley, joins this panel discussion moderated by Jonathan Murphy of GoGeomatics Canada, Brian Strydom of FXCollaborative and Michael Koterba, Engineering and Land Surveying, P.C. on the best practices for collecting, integrating, and fusing data, as well as how to use the data once collected.

·         Bentley Product Overview: Incorporating Remote Sensing Data into Digital Twins – Monday, February 13 at 10:45 a.m., Mike Barkasi, senior application engineer at Bentley, will demonstrate how data – from remote sensing devices, reality models, and point clouds – can be incorporated into digital twins by using Bentley applications, including the new capabilities of the iTwin Platform.
