Free Revit Courses! STEREO Opens Online Training Center

STEREO is pleased to announce the opening of our online training center, which will provide longform video tutorials related to BIM and AEC specific software. To kick things off we have a completely free 30-minute crash course on Revit called Enough to Be Dangerous: Revit for Absolute Beginners that you can enroll in here:

We have had overwhelmingly positive feedback regarding the tutorials, tips and hacks on our blog, as well as requests for content covering a wide range of skill levels related to Revit and the Scan to BIM processes. Over the coming months many of our popular articles will be reformatted into longform video tutorials to help AEC professionals overcome the roadblocks to implementing BIM. Be on the lookout for courses covering topics including Scan to BIM Best Practices, transitioning your firm’s AutoCAD standards to Revit and how to leverage Revit for Historic BIM and BIM for Facilities Management. We are even looking into putting together a course on Digital Twins!

While we have a lot planned for the coming months, we also are looking into short-term ways we can support professional development in the industry during one of the most significant disruptions of our times, the COVID-19 pandemic. We’ve seen first-hand how BIM can not only help young professionals gain employment, but also significantly deepen their understanding of how buildings go together through a 3D modeling environment aligned with how buildings are actually constructed. We have allocated several thousand dollars worth of pro-bono time to fast track the production of a course for students and early career professionals who have seen their learning put on pause by this pandemic. This free multi-hour Revit course is taught by STEREO Principal Dan Edleson, who has over a decade experience working in BIM management at both large and small Architecture firms as well as training professional firms on how to leverage Revit. The course covers the basics needed to use Revit in a professional setting and is specifically geared towards early career professionals and students who want to gain the necessary skills to stand out in the job market.
