The COVID-19 pandemic has shown how work patterns can change drastically, with people traveling less often, attending online meetings, and using new or unfamiliar technology for activities, including digital signatures. Mark Coates, strategic industry engagement director with Bentley Systems, and other leading industry professionals, will take part in a live webinar hosted by the International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC). The webinar will discuss some of the key issues arising from the pandemic, lessons learned, and best practices that will benefit construction and infrastructure firms over the challenging months ahead.
Coates will also discuss the key concepts behind a systems approach, and what benefit it brings to infrastructure delivery. He will explain how the consultant and construction sector mindset might change over the next five years and look at the biggest opportunities and challenges facing the industry. Lastly, Coates will examine the changing mindset and work culture, and how contractual relationships improve collaboration and help project teams work together in challenging times.
