Civil Integrated Management and the Expanding Role of Surveying & Mapping at FDOT
In response to the geospatial data and information technology revolution occurring throughout the civil infrastructure design, construction and management world, the Florida Department of Transportation is making unprecedented organizational and cultural changes to harness transportation technology to reduce costs in support of its’ mission. One of the key elements of this strategic reorganization is the creation of the Civil Integrated Management (CIM) Office that is now the new home of the Department’s Central Surveying & Mapping Office (SMO). This presentation will discuss several of these changes focusing on the expanding role of Surveying & Mapping within the CIM framework.
See you at TUC 17!
