The 2021 USGIF Scholarship Program is now open. The deadline to apply is May 16, 2021. If you are submitting an application for the Stu Shea Scholarship that deadline is Feb. 26, 2021.
About the USGIF Scholarship Program
USGIF has awarded more than $1.4 million in scholarships since launching the program in 2004.
To further the advancement of the geospatial tradecraft, USGIF is dedicated to assist promising students studying GEOINT, geospatial sciences, and related fields. Scholarship recipients are selected based on their academic and professional excellence as well as demonstrated service to the community.
Students interested in using capabilities of geospatial science, data and technologies to address human security challenges are all encouraged to submit applications. Past scholarship recipients are encouraged to apply.
Scholarships Available
The USGIF awards several scholarships to deserving recipients. Doctoral, graduate, and undergraduate winners receive $3,000, while graduating high school seniors are awarded $1,000. Our current EdGEOcation Giving Campaign will directly support the 2021 USGIF Scholarship Program. Help us reach our $70,000 campaign goal.
USGIF also offers three additional scholarships. Learn more about the RGi Scholarship for Geospatial and Engineering, the Ken Miller Scholarship for Advanced Remote Sensing Applications, and the Stu Shea USGIF Endowed Scholarship below.
