Digital Built Environment Institute hosts Digital Built Week Americas Conference

Tustin, CA— May 13, 2022 — Today, The U.S. Institute of Building Documentation announces its Reality Capture Summit, co-located at the AEC-ST Conference in association with the Digital Built Environment Institute’s Digital Built Week Americas Conference being held at the Anaheim Convention Center, Anaheim, CA, June 14 – 16. 

“USIBD is excited to announce our first Reality Capture Summit. This is the first time we have hosted an event geared solely toward reality capture. We are grateful for the opportunity to participate alongside industry leaders and innovators. This is an event you really don’t want to miss!” said John Russo, AIA, President at The U.S. Institute of Building Documentation.

Positive Industry Impact

Many industry leaders recognize the importance and latent impact of building documentation. This Summit will produce educational deliverables directly relating documentation to reality capture. Session topics include:

• Reality Capture Standards

• Reality Capture for Design and Construction

• The Future of Reality Capture

• The Art of the Reality Capture Deal

• Automating Reality Capture

• Reality Capture Off the Rails – When Things Go Wrong

• Behind the Scenes – What Makes Reality Capture Work?

Considerations for speakers will continue until Friday, May 26, 2022. The USIBD’s LoA or Level of Accuracy Certification will be offered at the Summit, as well as their newest 2D-Imagery Certification. To date, USIBD has certified over 40 individuals in their Level of Accuracy program. The certifications ensure mastery of the LOA specification, written by USIBD regarding levels of accuracy. This knowledge will enable certified individuals and their companies to serve their customers better than ever before with the highest level of accuracy.

The current LOA 3.0 Certification is an updated version, compounding upon version 2.0, which will continuously evolve as new technology emerges.
