In order to simplify the corporate messaging the Certainty 3D company name is being replaced with TopoDOT – the name of their flagship software. The new TopoDOT will still have the same leadership, support team and the same office – just different email contact information. If you have any questions and/or requests please send them to support@topodot.com.

Why is this group so happy. Well in addition to a new company name they have had a tremendously successful year, but they are not resting on their accomplishments. In fact, they are just getting started.

As we all know processing raw point cloud data into useful 3D information is where a laser scanning project is won or lost. Since 2012 Ted Knaak, Founder and his team have been paying their dues learning from their customers about how to create really valuable feature extraction tools that automate the process of going from point clouds to 3D CAD objects.

In addition to the corporate name change, TopoDOT is also announcing the release of TopoDOT Version 11.0 – “Pacific Coast Highway”. They are asking their customers to download and install the latest release to stay current with our newest developments.

To update, use the “Check for Updates” option within the TopoDOT menu. This will automatically download the latest version or use the link below to directly download the installation file.

From the team, “We are constantly striving to improve your TopoDOT experience. Many of you will find your comments, suggestions and ideas implemented in some way. The software represents the collective experience, knowledge, and innovation of all our users. You have in us a place where your comments are heard, your ideas respected, and your innovations implemented whenever possible.”
