Calculating LiDAR RMSE in Excel for Data Quality

I just came across a new blog, Alberto Concejal’s GeoVisualization that looks like an interesting combination of topic areas, including LiDAR. I think he is on the right track with this kind of convergence thought process.

In the current post he explains how he is using Excel to calculate the RMSE for LiDAR ground control points. This he uses to check the quality of the data. It’s simple and clean approach for a quick check.
