The visual impairment headset works by being worn on the forehead and strapped around the head where it scans the surrounding environment with LiDAR technology as well as a series of camera lenses. Artificial intelligence (AI)-powered algorithms scan the surrounding environment 100-times per second and will relay information to the wearer in the form of haptic feedback to help them navigate more intuitively. Haptic feedback is the process of translating information into physical sensations, like vibrations and pressure.
