XPENG to adopt RoboSense’s MX LiDAR for intelligent driving application
Beijing (Gasgoo)- RoboSense, the provider of LiDAR and perception solutions, announced a partnership with China’s leading smart electric vehicle company, XPENG.
This collaboration aims to explore the scale-production of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) based on RoboSense’s next-generation mid-to-long-range LiDAR. The goal is to allow more consumers to experience safer and more convenient intelligent mobility.
RoboSense’s track record and production capabilities in the field of LiDAR application provide solid support for XPENG to continually strengthen its position in smart mobility and expand its scale efficiency.
With nearly three years of application practice with global automakers and consumers, RoboSense has achieved remarkable success in the automotive intelligence revolution. As of the end of March 2024, RoboSense has sold over 400,000 units of its automotive LiDAR, with designated mass-production projects in 65 vehicle models received from 22 global automakers and Tier 1 suppliers.
As partners, RoboSense and XPENG are committed to jointly promoting the prosperity and development of the global intelligent automotive industry ecosystem. Currently, RoboSense’s M-Series LiDAR has been applied in multiple XPENG models, including the P7i, G6, G9, and X9, becoming an essential perception tool for XPENG’s XNGP full-scenario intelligent driving assistance system.
